Rubber Egg Experiment

This activity is ideal for the elementary school students!

This activity is a great way to introduce your student to chemical reactions! By submerging an egg in vinegar for a couple days, you can dissolve the eggshell leaving a bouncy, squishy egg! Be careful, the egg will likely still burst with too much pressure so be prepared for some clean up!

Materials:

* Egg

* Vinegar

* Mason jar

* Food coloring (options)

Directions: Place the egg carefully in the mason jar and fill it with vinegar until the egg is completely submerged. Add food coloring if desired (optional).

Wait approximately 48 hours.

Remove the egg and rinse it. Have fun!
