Our Mission
Educational inequality is the unequal distribution of academic resources, including but not limited to: school funding, qualified and experienced teachers, books, and technologies. The communities primarily impacted by educational inequity tend to be historically disadvantaged and oppressed.
With 1 in every 10 students in the U.S. not earning a high school diploma or equivalent, researchers claim the issue lies in the complexity of the American Education system (information from National Center for Education). Particularly weak around the country is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum, and with much of contemporary society relying on STEM fields, our youth are not properly equipped.
I started the Wise Up to Rise Up program to bring supplemental STEM education to students who would not otherwise have access to it. Especially in our rapidly changing and predominantly virtual world, I want to help students around the country and around the globe access the resources they need for success. All resources are provided completely free of charge to make the opportunity equitable for all students. Any further questions can be sent to wiseuptoriseupprogram@gmail.com!
